[ARCHIVED] Art Classes - Arts Council of Lincoln County

Art classes for students ages young adult through adult. Classes will be taught on Saturday mornings at the Lincoln Cultural Center, 403 E. Main St. Lincolnton. Please contact the Arts Council at (704) 732-9044 to register.



Easy Victorian Style Needle Woven Necklace
Instructor: Kathryn Berkowitz February 20 11 – 1pm
Cost: $20 per person

“In this class, we will make an easy and elegant Victorian Style necklace”.
Participants much purchase their own supplies, which can be found at Michael’s or AC Moore.

The class is limited to 6 participants.

Supply List (must be brought to class)
One size #12 beading needle
Stringing material, such as Fireline, Nymo or Silamide (these are the only stringing materials recommended for this project)
One long tube or two short tubes #11 seed beads
210 4mm pearls, druks or firepolished beads
One 6 or 8mm pearl, or bead that matches the rest of your necklace (to make the clasp)

Easy Crochet Project Class
Instructor: Kathryn Berkowitz February 6 11 – 1pm
Cost: $15 per person

In this class, we will learn to make a pair of adorable fingerless gloves, sometimes called "wrist warmers."

The stitches mastered will be:
1. Single Crochet
2. Single Crochet Ribbing
3. Double Crochet "V" Stitch

The class is limited to 6 participants.

Supply List (must be brought to class)
This project requires one skein of worsted weight yarn. I recommend "Vanna's Choice" which can be purchased at Wal-Mart, and a size "G" crochet hook.
Participants will need to bring their own supplies.
