[ARCHIVED] 2011- 2012 Lincoln County Solid Waste Stickers (Updated 08/10/2011)

Effective August 22, 2011, only vehicles displaying the BLUE landfill sticker on the windshield will be allowed to use the Convenience Sites.

These stickers were mailed to most residents with their tax bill earlier this year. Due to an error by the contractor, some tax bills were mailed without the stickers. If you did not receive the stickers, you should take a picture ID and tax bill or car registration to one of the following locations:

Citizens Center, Lincolnton
Landfill, Crouse
Water Treatment Plant, Tree Farm Road, Denver

In order to receive more than 2 stickers, a resident must take a copy of vehicle registrations for ALL vehicles owned. Additional stickers will only be issued where proof is presented that more than 2 vehicles is owned.

Prior to August 22, residents of Lincoln County who do not have a 2011-2012 blue landfill sticker will have the ability to dispose of their household trash any Lincoln County convenience site by showing their driver’s license and a vehicle registration. However, beginning on August 22, use will no longer be allowed.

Use of Convenience sites is for Lincoln County residents only and only for household use. No commercial use is allowed regardless of whether the commercial owner is a County resident. Unauthorized use of the convenience sites results in higher fees in the future.
