[ARCHIVED] Flo Robinson Literary Competition

The Arts Council of Lincoln County will sponsor its annual Flo Robinson Literary Competition Awards Ceremony at the Lincoln Cultural Center on April 26, 2012 at 7:00pm.

The Arts Council would like to thank the Gaston Gazette for their continued support and for generously sponsoring this event along with the Flo Robinson Trust and Lincoln County Schools.

The Flo Robinson Literary Competition was established to memorialize Miss Robinson’s lifelong interest in poetry and prose and to encourage writers to pursue excellence in their craft. This program provides cash awards for poetry and prose writers from the following categories: adults, high school, middle school, and elementary school students. The Arts Council is grateful to the Trustees of the Flo Robinson Estate for providing this opportunity to the students and adults of Lincoln County.

The Lincoln Cultural Center is located at 403 E. Main Street, Lincolnton. The event is free and open to the public. For information, please contact the Arts Council of Lincoln County at (704) 732-9044. This project is supported in part by a grant provided through the Grassroots Arts Program of the NC Arts Council, a state agency.
