On Monday, September 24th, 2012 at 6:30 pm at the Charles R. Jonas Library, 306 West Main St., Lincolnton, NC 28092
Victoria Johansson will be playing "clawhammer" banjo in what she calls “Old Time Music” style. She has played in several bands including the Charlotte Folk Music Society. She also teaches a class in Clawhammer Banjo at the Lincoln Campus of Gaston College.
After moving to Lincoln County in 1993, Victoria began to play regularly with Lynn Eskridge and other friends from Kings Mountain. They play in the competitions at the Fiddler's Grove Fiddler's Convention in Statesville, the Hog Happening in Shelby, the Gateway Festival in Kings Mountain, and the art opening at the Kings Mountain museum. They recently played at the library in Shelby for the opening of the Civil War Photography Exhibit.
Join us for an evening of storytelling, singing and an old time hand-weaving demonstration.
