[ARCHIVED] E-Coli Outbreak : Lincoln County Health Department Update

Confirmed cases of E.Coli continue to rise in Lincoln County, as well as in Gaston, Cleveland and York counties. The common link to this regional outbreak is that all affected persons attended the recent Cleveland County Fair.

The Lincoln County Health Department is working closely with physicians, hospitals, Cleveland County, Gaston County, and the State Division of Public Health on this matter. If you attended the Cleveland County Fair and are experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, please contact your doctor immediately.

Symptoms of infection include diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, which may be accompanied by abdominal cramps, nausea, and vomiting. Low-grade fever may be present as well.
