[ARCHIVED] POSTPONED: Community Involvement Meeting Proposed Residential Development on NC73

A second community involvement meeting to be held on the proposed 1,650 unit development on December 11 to focus on the transportation impacts of the proposal has been postponed.

A second community involvement meeting concerning a proposed residential
development at N.C. 73 and Little Egypt Road has been postponed. The meeting
had been scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at Unity
Presbyterian Church to provide additional information about the proposal and to
receive comments prior to a public hearing, but it has postponed because a
review of a traffic impact analysis has not been completed

Shea Homes Limited Partnership is requesting the rezoning of approximately 600
acres from CU PD-R (Conditional Use Planned Development-Residential) to PD-R
(Planned Development-Residential) to permit a development with up to 1,650
single-family detached and attached homes, mostly restricted to older adults but
with up to 300 homes not age-restricted. The property (Parcel ID# 85734,
02441, 31428, 51876, 32945, 58834, 58835, 86073, 86072, 86071 and 51881) is
located on the south side of N.C. 73 and west side of Little Egypt Road.

The public will be notified once the meeting is rescheduled.
