[ARCHIVED] Earth Day Celebration - Saturday, April 18th

The Earth Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 18th from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Tractor Supply, N. Generals Blvd in Lincolnton. This is a free event for the family.

There will be information booths and children's crafts - learn about raised beds, soil testing, recycling, Smokey the Bear, etc. Each participant will receive a free tree seedling and you will be able to register to win prizes. Lincoln County Animal Services will host a pet adoption fair and the Sheriff's Dept will host the Operation Medicine Drop Box. Earth Day aims to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the earth's environment. The celebration is being sponsored by the Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District. In collaboration with Earth Day, the City of Lincolnton will sponsor a paper shredding event on Wednesday, April 22 from 1:00 to 4:00 in the parking lot behind the City Hall.
