[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE - Sewer Spill at 4477 Burton Lane, Lakewood Subdivision

A no-swim advisory has been issued by the Lincoln County Health Department. Please click on the NO SWIM ADVISORY MAP listed below for more information.

On Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 6:02 p.m. Lincoln County Public Works had a sewer spill at lift station #28 located at 4477 Burton Lane in Denver, NC. Approximately 20,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled into a cove in the Lakewood Subdivision. Public Works personnel stopped and repaired the sewage leak at 6:48 p.m. A no-swim advisory has been issued by the Lincoln County Health Department and Lincoln County Public Works is testing the affected area until samples return to normal levels in accordance with NC DEQ standards.
