[ARCHIVED] This Week’s “NCDETECT” Report For Influenza-Like Illnesses (ILI’S)

Lincoln County experienced another 52 visits to the ER at CMC-Lincoln during Week 40 (Oct. 4-10) due to influenza-related illnesses (ILI). .This equates to a 5.8% rate which is comparable to the week before.

Overall, Lincoln County has the lowest rate of ER visits due to ILI of the 12 reporting counties in Region 7. However, the rate for the region as a whole (10.4%) is an increase from the week before (9.3%), yet still remains less than the state average (now 11.7%).

Residents are encouraged to obtain the regular season flu vaccine from their private provider or pharmacy, especially if in the at-risk populations.
